Sometimes life can be difficult and it is normal to struggle. It is also normal, and very courageous, to seek help.

Janice is a highly experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist who has 22 years experience working with adults and couples. She qualified with a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Strathclyde and is an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), accredited status achieved in 2005.

To maintain Accredited Status Janice undertakes 30 hours per year post qualification training/development which includes:

Couples Counselling, Miscarriage and Stillbirth, Addiction,
Domestic Violence, Work Related Stress, CBT, Depression, Anxiety,
Trauma, Psychological First Aid.


Janice offers Individual and Couples Counselling in Glasgow. She specialises in working with Relationship issues and Couples Counselling, Childhood Abuse, Women's Issues and Addiction. Janice also has extensive experience of supporting those who have, or are, experiencing Loss, Bereavement, Anxiety, Depression and Stress issues. In addition Janice has significant experience in the field of Trauma and has attended on site following major critical incidents.

Her counselling experience and development has come from the privilege of working with people in varying and diverse contexts as well as undertaking specialist training. Janice has worked in GP surgeries, Substance Misuse Clinics, Social Work Services and for many years managed a team of 30 counsellors in an EAP (Employee Assistance) setting.

Janice has a genuine commitment and passion for her work and is happy to work with most issues that are causing you concern or distress. She believes feeling heard, understood and not judged is vital to creating a trusting, therapeutic relationship.

She is happy to work in a short term, solution focused approach and also offers longer term Counselling / Psychotherapy. Whether you are looking for a few sessions or a longer term option, Janice works from a Person Centred approach and believes being flexible to the needs of the client is paramount.


Fees

Janice charges £55 per session for individual counselling and £65 for couples counselling.
Janice works from Templeton House, 62 Templeton Street. Glasgow, G40 1DA. The building has disabled access, free parking and is a short walk from Bridgeton railway station.
